More than you ever need to know about Tina

Tina is the youngest of three daughters born to Art and Darlene Eno, both WWII pilots. Her mom served as a WASP (Women’s Air Service Pilot) and her Dad was a flight instructor. All three girls started singing at an early age. Art and Darlene were both musical, especially Darlene. She played piano by ear and was always singing. Music was a big part of the household. Piano lessons were a requirement for each of the Eno girls. Toni, the oldest, had a guitar and she played and sang the songs of the 1960’s. The three sisters perfected three-part harmonies on songs by Peter, Paul and Mary and the Kingston Trio. But it was on a trip through Central America in the family station wagon, ten year old Tina was able to focus Toni’s guitar playing. By the time the family returned to the states, Tina was able to pick up her sister’s guitar and play a tune. When she was 11, Tina’s mom got Tina her own guitar (yes, she still has it). That launched years of talents shows, a high school band, college pubs, bars and restaurants, and festivals and countless gigs down the line. Tina’s been playing professionally now for more than 50 years. (The author can’t conceive of how this has transpired.) Tina has two adult children.

Songwriting

Songwriting was part of Tina’s musical journey. She wrote her very first song, “The Ice on my Pond Cracked Up all Over You” in 1969. Despite this ausipcious start, songwriting was a road less traveled road during many of the chapters of Tina’s life. There were stints of songwriting during the college years – a six-year/three college, miraculous degree producing venture. There was a creative burst during a hiatus from school, living in an apartment on the south side of Atlanta, working as a hostess at a hotel restaurant. But cover songs dominated the many years of Marketing career building. It wasn’t until Tina was in her 40’s, and a wife and mother before songwriting became a true creative calling.

In 2009, Tina began attending a Space Coast songwriters’ night at the prompting of a friend. She still attends today. Now, Tina is more passionate than ever about songwriting and performing her songs. She has honed a unique musical sound. Her voice is deep and rich with emotion. Any day you write a good song is a very good day indeed.
